It seems as though people come and go a lot here. I noticed it a while back, but you don't think the people doing the going will be those you're close to or know well until... they disappear, too. It's too much to hope that things will remain relatively constant, isn't it?

Ron's gone... isn't he?


[Hermione's going to be sitting out in the middle of the ground with a bunch of mats and blankets. She's got a small fire going on a pile of rocks in front of her. It looks like it shouldn't be possible, but there's definitely a fire there. And it makes the air around it warm. So she's pretty toasty now. If you want to say hello, you can be toasty warm, too, as long as you sit down.]

I don't think so as two of the people I'm referring to were friends I had from home. Regardless of whether or not you befriend them here, it's still going to hurt to see them leave.

I suppose it's better than being alone, though.

That's what I'm hoping. I don't think the Malnosso took him or there would have been signs of a struggle. Ron's not the type to just willingly go with people, not in a situation like this.

[Chikane can smell angst a mile away, TOTALLY, but this time it was accidental. The warmth catches her attention first, then Hermione's bundled form. She can tell she's upset, and opens her mouth to call out to the young woman, but, her eyes fall on the flame and... she's baffled for a moment.]

[This is him, doing his part to support Draco in his mission, and making sure no one on either side hates his guts so he can help for whatever plan is needed. So he'll approach Hermione when he spots her and will remember this little voice post.

He stands opposite of her across the fire. He vaguely wonders if she'd even know who he was.]

Considering we are in a completely different world, it's only to be expected things will be erratic. But you'll probably see him again. At least, there wasn't any rumors back home about a Weasley being killed.

...I'm glad to hear that. [She's kind of unnerved. You're in the future. She remembers this from the census. This must've been what Malfoy felt when she told him his future. Awkward. She hates not knowing everything.]

He's probably fine. [And now we're trying and failing to cover up our worry.] I've gotten used to everything being strange and difficult here.
