[Have a really, REALLY shaky handwriting, as though whoever's writing this hurts quite a bit or is exceptionally scared... or hey, why not both. And there's an ink splotch on the top.]

.../looks like a diary. I can't tell.

[Another ink blot, but this one's apparently intentional.]

It's not like what Harry described Riddle's diary as being. I don't suppose it responds to voice commands. My hand hurts too much to write.

[Oh hey, it's swapped to voice here. Have a thumping sound and a soft 'oof.' She's fallen off the bed. And her voice next is really soft, as though she's not aware the thing is recording.]

My handbag. Bellatrix's wand. They're -

The where is Luceti. Don't bother asking about the why, none of us really quite know. That cottage on the coast is worlds away, now.

[There's a huge part of Hermione that is screaming that this just isn't possible, especially with no explanation, so all you're going to get is a smile and a nod here.]

The guide and the rest of you seem to think it isn't. I'd like to know how but I don't suppose that's going to be answered any time soon.

Better minds than me have tried to figure that out, without much luck.

I'm not giving up on it entirely, but I'll keep that in mind.

[A thoughtful pause, then:] Guess you'll be needing directions to the village?

That would be appreciated if you can give them.

See a river nearby? If you do, you can follow it to the village. The area isn't too big, so even if you wind up going in the wrong direction at first? That'll become pretty obvious, soon enough.

All right. As soon as I can walk comfortably again, I'll do that.

[Her hero senses are tingling!]

Walk comfortably? Huh? What happened? You weren't caught up in the big fight, were you? Sort of a long time to go between the fight and finding your way, sure...but?

[Considering what Hermione just went through, they should be!]

Someone named Rinoa said she'd be by as well. Really, I'll be all right.

Well, I'll stop by anyway. If you've already gone? Cool, fantastic, you've been looked after. If not? I'll keep you company.

[There are the sounds of a door opening and closing, followed by footsteps. She'll be a knocking in about twenty minutes. It would have been sooner, only she's walking with two broken ribs. Yeah. Hypocrite? Right here.]

I don't think I'll be going anywhere for a little bit.

[Knock knock knock!]

[She's still quite a bit unsteady on her feet, so it takes a moment for her to get there, but soon she's pulling open the door.]

Ah, hello. I'm Hermione.

[She doesn't look particularly hurt for now, more unsteady than anything, but she winces a little as she stands.]

[Hermoine's wince is mirrored by the new-comer, who is still holding her side even as she shuffles into the room.]

I'm Buffy--hi.

[She moves aside as best she can, shutting the door behind Buffy before moving to sit down in a nearby chair.]

You really didn't need to come all this way. You don't look to be having a good time of it, either.

[There's a light shrug in reply.] I'm not really too keen on the bed-rest, anyway.

If only I had my handbag or a wand, I could fix both of us. I know a bunch of healing spells and my handbag has a couple of pastes in it. But it sounds like it'll be a job finding it here. [And have a weary sigh.]

Wait--spells? Magic? [Sure, she sounds incredulous--but only because you're pretty much speaking her language. Well, a dialect close to it. The spell stuff was really more of a Willow thing, but a girl takes what she can get.]
