...Well that was certainly interesting. I hope everyone made it out of the snow and back to their residences safely. I was caught at home, so I'm fine. If any of my housemates are coming home frozen, I'll have my bluebell flames in their jar in the middle of the common room.

I'd also like to hear from everyone I haven't spoken to yet since the blizzard ended. How are you all doing?

[Hermione is going to send a Messenger Patronus to her housemates, no matter where they are. It says, "Are you all right? Please see me. I need to teach you this." Except to Harry. His says, "I need to teach you this and for you to teach me something," but it comes back to her, whining...

[She'll be waiting on the bottom floor.]

The only thing the Hogwarts library ever failed me on was Horcruxes, but that's understandable.

[Terri seems to protest a little at the topic, but eventually calms down enough to walk over to Draco and just... watch... Studious otter is studious.]

And the only thing the Hogwarts Library really helped me with last year was catching up on my sleep. [It's an attempt at a joke, honest!

However, once Terri stops in front of him and starts watching, he lifts an eyebrow and stares right back.] ...may I help you?

[And the smile she gives him shows she understands that.

[Meanwhile Terri merely blinks and then tilts her head at him.]

I think she's wondering where Padfoot is.

You think? [He'll crouch down a bit to be closer to the otter's height, drawing his wand] I think maybe something could be arranged.

Every time she's been out while you're here, Padfoot's been around. I think she just wonders where he is.

[Terri notices the wand and goes streaking up onto a chair, making Hermione laugh.]

[Yeah, that's going to get a laugh out of Draco too. Silly Patronus. Give him a second and he'll say the incantation, producing a Padfoot. Padfoot sits next to Draco's foot for a moment trying to figure out where the heck he is before spotting Hermione.

Hermione! Padfoot trots up to her then and yips to get her attention.]

He hasn't been out recently, so maybe this will be good for him.

[Terri is currently watching. Wtf is up with Padfoot? Hermione, on the other hand, smiles and reaches out to pet Padfoot. Or, well... as much as it's possible to pet a Patronus.]

I'm sure it will be. The last time Terri was out was to talk to Cho's swan.

[Padfoot's special, that's all, Terri. But as soon as Hermione attempts to pet Padfoot, the Patronus starts turning himself about in excited circles and yipping at her.]

A swan?

[Hermione just laughs and tries to entertain him with her hand. Terri, meanwhile, jumps up onto the table to watch. Why so crazy, Padfoot?]

Yes, that's what her Patronus is. It's very beautiful.

[Padfoot's going to keep being a derp until he suddenly spots Terri.

...TERRI! Sorry Hermione, brb, stalking your otter now.]

...how exactly is a swan useful?

[If otters could cry, Terri would be. She was enjoying being left alone!

Hermione smirks.]

It works just like any other Patronus. And hers flies.

[Aw, Terri, you know you love Padfoot! The coyote pup sits near the table and just stares up at Terri waiting for her to make the first move.]

Suppose flying could be helpful, in any case. Still trying to decide what good this berk does. [He nods in Padfoot's direction.]

[You're gonna be waiting a looooong time there, buddy.]

He's cute. [She laughs a little bit.] And he's very good for your spirits.

[See, we can be patient! Really! Padfoot's sitting rather still, wiggling only just a little bit]

He's ridiculous. [But he grins] Though I suppose you have a point. He's amusing, at least.

[Terri sees you down there. She's perfectly happy up here, tyvm.]

See? He's good for lightening the spirits around here. And he can chase away dementors if they ever show up.

[Padfoot disapproves. And he'll let that be known by trying to stand on his hindlegs to get to Terri. Come down here and play!]

You don't really think Dementors will show up, do you?

[Terri doesn't really care, but she's totes taking notes on you, Padfoot.]

I hope not. But if they do, at least some of us can make a barrier big enough to confine them. [Or so she hopes but she's not going to say that.]

[And Padfoot's currently just whining at her. Terri DX Don't leave me high and dry man.]

[sry, Padfoot. Terri's gonna be a pain until you find a way to climb up to her.]

No. I don't see how the Malnosso could do it.

[...oh yeah? Well, Padfoot's going to sit and stare for a few more moments before yipping slightly and walking off, only to run and try to knock over the table]

...they better not. I don't think it'd be wise of them.

[If otters could facepalm, Terri would be doing it right now.]

...You don't think a lot of things they've done are wise. [She might be attempting to tease him there.] And I can't blame you.

[If it helps, his caster will facepalm for her, because seriously, Padfoot, seriously. Padfoot's not easily discouraged though since he's still trying to knock over the table]

I'm not exactly their biggest fan. [He gets it's a joke, but he's still a little worried anyway.] I'm probably more worried about home.

[Terri just perches up there. Hermione giggles a little.]

[Padfoot's busy whining and trying to paw at the table. TERRI DX]

Except themselves, you mean. [He shrugs, but the look on his face says enough] More or less, yes.

Of course, but they don't exactly count. [She notices and her own is a bit sad.] ...I am, too. I feel like I don't know what to expect when we do return home.
