((OOC: PLEASE READ. The first action part is for Draco, Raine, and Harry in that order. After she gets home and talks to Harry, housemates are free to reply and then anyone who's heard she's back and wants to come visit her is free to reply. But please wait for those three first. [It's midday in the woods. Calm, quiet. And then... CRUNCH SPLASH. Guess who just got literally dumped into the lake on this cold winter day? And hard enough to break what little ice is still left. Yep. Hermione's back. And she looks like she's been through hell. Coughing, sputtering. She's going to try to climb up onto the bank, because seriously Malnosso? A sprained ankle, a partially bleeding neck, and a bunch of scratches and bruises and you couldn't dump her somewhere dry?

So... the lake just seems to not like people lately.]

[Probably an hour later, writing will appear from her, but her hand is still shaky. If anyone remembers when she first arrived, this handwriting is comparable to that.]

I'd just like to inform everyone that I'm back. It's been long enough that I should have missed an experiment... I hope everyone else is well.

[At least she's not dripping anymore thanks to Draco's warming spells, but the coat and blanket are quickly draped around her shoulders with a murmured thanks. And then she manages to push herself slowly to her feet, wincing slightly.]

It's nothing compared to other things I've dealt with... This level of danger is almost comforting. It almost feels like I'm back home.

That doesn't really excuse it, you know. [She rises to her feet as well.] Take your time.

No; it doesn't. [She tests out her ankle by putting a little more weight on it.] At least I went through the exact same thing a few months ago. They just made me relive a memory. It was very convincing.

... Mmm. I don't doubt that it was. [She watches her carefully, to wait to see if she needs support.]

I suppose all of them are... [Well the foot's holding up. That's a plus.] I suppose it's time I tried to make it home, then.

All right, but it's a long way. We'll take a break if you need it.

[She nods.] Walking under my own power is nice. It's better than being carried, helped, or unconscious. [She has her pride, this one and having Draco carry her earlier was a huge hit.]

I can certainly sympathize with that, just as long as you aren't pushing yourself to prove a point.

I'm not.

[At least when she takes this step forward she's not wincing as badly. It's just a bit sore.]

I can walk on this. I'm just not entirely certain which direction to go in.

[She frowns faintly at that, and will be keeping an eye on that, anyway.] I can help you with that, at least.

Good thing one of us knows the way. I hope it wasn't too far out of your way or that I didn't pull you away from anything important.

No, not at all. [She'll start to lead the way once Hermione is ready, but stay at her side, of course.] Besides, what could be more important?

Nothing's more important than helping a friend. [She smiles, so grateful she has Raine here with her.] How have you been since we last spoke? I know I must have missed quite a lot.

You haven't missed too much since the meeting save the experiment, and I'm certain with the way subjects like that tend to carry... you'll be caught up in no time. I've been well enough, myself.

I suppose that's a good enough thing. I'd rather not have missed much. [She sighs at that.] I'm glad you're well. I'm glad I didn't miss a particularly dangerous one. Though missing it would be good for me, I'd still not like to think of what I'd come back to.

People in this village have a tendency to bounce back, even with the more dangerous experiments. It's usually the ones that have more of an emotional tie to them that have more fallout.

[She nods in response, immediately wincing as her head swims a little.]

...Like mine. I almost wish it had been entirely physical. It was easier the first time when I only had to concentrate on ignoring the curse and saving us all. This time... it was the pain and the memory. It's always worse the second time around.

Experiencing it once is bad enough, but twice...

You certainly are quite strong.

[She sighs gently.]

It comes with being the best friend of the single-most wanted person in our world, especially when he likes to play the hero. Trouble tends to find us no matter what we do.

[She doesn't sound particularly upset about this or anything. She accepted it long ago.

[She's starting to feel a little more sore. Hopefully, home is somewhere close by.]

[She notices that Hermione seems to be having a little trouble, so she'll reflexively murmur a healing spell to try and provide a little more relief.]

[She smiles at the healing spell. She doesn't want to wear Raine out, but it's appreciated all the same.]

We have to. We've never had a choice. Ron and I made our decision to help Harry practically the moment we became friends with him in first year. And if we didn't fight, the whole world would be overrun with Death Eaters.

[It's not like she minds, you know. Her priority is getting Hermione home in one piece.]

Not everyone would make the same decision in that kind of situation. Even when the path you chose feels like the obvious right one. Though your world is very fortunate to have you.

[Yes but Hermione likes being able to do things herself.]

I suppose you have a point. [The compliment is met with a smile, though, before she turns forward. She's pretty sure the house is close by...]

Do you want to come inside or do you have things to get back to?

I'll help you get settled in, if you like. How does some tea sound?
