[That sound right there? That's the sound of Ron's train of thought stopping in its tracks.]

Luceti? Riddle? What are you talking about? We're in... well... I'm in World's End, and you are, too, and so are Harry and Malfoy and please tell me you know what I'm talking about because things have been really weird here lately and you telling me that I'm not making any sense is the very last thing I need.

I've never heard of that, Ron... I'm in Luceti... It's weird enough here with all these new people wandering around...

But... but you're here. I was just with you. We had that... that talk the other night and....

Blimey, don't tell me this is one of those alternate whatevers at work again.

[He's on the verge of flailing right now. He could deal with two Harrys, and maybe even two Hermiones, but the idea of there being a duplicate Ron running around is just freaky.]

Where the hell is Harry?! If I'm not there to keep this sort of thing from happening, then shouldn't Harry be somewhere about to protect you?

Don't go blaming Harry, either. I told the DA as soon as I headed to meet Riddle, but the papers didn't show the message for an entire hour. Luceti and the barrier tampered with the Protean Charm I used. [she sounds soooo pissed about this. >T Nothing's allowed to mess with her charms!]

[You're going way over his head on so many levels right now.]

Wha-... wait, so the DA...? Dumbledore's Army? Who all... I mean, they're there, with you? Neville and Ginny and the whole lot, or what? And what barrier? If you've got enough people with you to form another version of the DA, then how did Riddle get to you in the first place?

[Don't we do that normally, though?]

Not everyone, no. It's Harry, Luna, Cho, and I so far.. and Draco, too. Lupin and Tonks are here for the Order... and Harry's mum, though she's our age.

The barrier's around Luceti. It's not of our doing. Anyone can get in, but we can't get out.

[Yeah, but he doesn't have food to distract himself from things this time ~~yet~~.]

... Draco Malfoy? You're... you're on a first name basis with him now? [Why yes, that is undisguised disgust in his voice.]

I'm pretty sure you can figure out a way to reverse the barrier though, right? I mean, I've been banking on you to get me and Harry out of World's End. The other you, I mean.

[She sighs. Should have expected that.] He's different here and we all have to work together against Riddle, Ron.

I'm looking into it, but I haven't found anything useful yet.

[Bloody hell, she sounds like his version of Harry.] Right. And I'm sure he's about as useful as a... huh, oddly enough, I can't think of any uses for him at all. Other than target practise, that is.

Well, you'll find something. I don't reckon there's a scrape me and Harry can get into that you can't get us out of.

[she sighs, but she's not going to argue with you.] He's been very helpful here.

[Hoping that he really does hear a smile in her voice and it's not just his imagination, he smiles a bit, too.] I'm just lucky that someone is you. We, I mean. We're lucky.

[Must resist... must resist... oh damn it all.] He has been. And we really do have to keep an eye on everyone with Riddle here.

...We're all very lucky to have each other. [And that's her blushing. If only you could see it.]

[This can't end well.] Right. And which one of you is keeping an eye on Malfoy?

Yeah. I just... wish you weren't alone there. I mean, not alone, but... you know. Without me. But if you've got Harry, then what more do you need, right? [Pfft, fishing for reassurance? Ron? Surely you jest.]

[Does it ever?] Very funny. I realise it sounds like rubbish and if I were in your shoes, I would think the same, but it's not rubbish. He's different here.

[She sees what you did thar, but she'll bite.] It'd be nice to have you here, too, Ron. I'm glad... I'm with you, too.

[I think it did once.] What's funny is that I wasn't trying to be funny. I've been hearing a lot about how 'different' he can be; makes me wonder why he acts like such a colossal git back home.

[Well, this is just weird. He almost feels like he's cheating on the other Hermione, but that makes no sense, since it's not like he's in a relationship with her. Because, ha, that'd be silly.] It was pretty bad not having you around for a while. I hope I... well,... I don't know how all this works, but I hope this other version of me or whatever finds his way back to you soon.

[Yeah, the one time they both let it go XD] I don't know... he was a colossal git back home.

[She understands.] Thanks, Ron... Good luck... wherever you are.

[Ron let something go? She must have tricked him into it!] He still is....
