[It's a couple of minutes before she actually says anything, but there are a few doodles on the page. When she does speak, she's very subdued.]
I guess this is the next experiment. It seems to be... a strange one anyway. I wonder who has my body?
...This is Hermione, for those who don't recognise my voice or my face. I don't look like I normally do.
[So the basic turn of events for Hermione: She wakes up rather groggy, eyes not quite as red or scratchy as she thought they'd be. Hello, something's off. She doesn't really notice her body change just yet as she makes her way out of the random room she was in. And a little later notices the body of her best friend... whom she had just fought with not a few days ago and who has been resolutely refusing to speak with her. Can't deal with seeing him yet. Hermione flees the house.
Currently, she (in the body of Raine Sage) is sitting by the lake, with her knees curled up to her chin. Those who know her, even if they've only spoken to her for a minute or less, can EASILY tell that something is very, VERY wrong here. Feel free to talk to her.]

[Voice]
If you don't mind meeting me somewhere, either here at the lake or in my apartment, I can show you some of the spells I know.
[Voice]
Anywhere you'd feel comfortable meeting is fine with me... as long as it isn't near a lake. I am certainly curious as to how your spells work.
[Voice]
Shall I meet you out front, then?
[Voice]
Although it would be fascinating to see if we could find some link between our different abilities...
[Voice]
Perhaps we can. We won't know until we try, will we? [Hey Raine? She's actually sort of smiling right now.]
[Voice]
Of course. It will definitely be a learning experience.

[action]
[action]
Right here. [She tries to smile and kind of succeeds.] Is my wand all right?
[action]
[action]
[action]
[action]
I'm not sure if I can use it or if I should even try.
[action]
Does it serve as a focus for the magic? I usually carry a staff with me, though I can cast without it as well. It's more of a self-defense weapon anyway.

I believe it is similar, though wandless magic is generally considered something that occurs when the witch or wizard is too young to use a wand, but I also believe the wands enhance our magic and change it from the nearly uncontrollable bursts young children experience to the precise spells trained witches and wizards can perform. If you have a wand and know the spells, you don't need anything else to defend yourself with.
[She twirls the wand a little and it kind of spits a few sparks at her but nothing like normal.] Apparently, it thinks I'm you so it might work better for you as you are now.
[action]
Hmm. All right. Are the wands made so they are suited for a particular person?
[action]
"The wand chooses the wizard." Each wand is different and will choose to favour a different master. They also seem to work reasonably for someone who is in favour with their master, if they are handed over willingly.
[THIS reminds her of rescuing Ollivander and she sighs a little bit. She knows he's okay but geeze he didn't look so good last she saw him. This worry also registers on her face.]
[action]
Hmmm... I see. [She's not quite certain what to make of that notion. Perhaps it's simply that a certain core resonates with that person's core... no, too complicated. She takes note of Hermione's falling expressions instead; after all she's watching herself.]
There's a lot on your mind.
[action]
She looks as though she wants to answer, stops, and then starts again.]
A lot has happened, both here and at home. I never really did have a quiet life after I found out I'm a witch. [Such is the life of anyone close to Harry Potter, but especially one of his best friends.]
[action]
... I can't imagine you did. It must have been quite a change from your original lifestyle.
[action]
...[She can't help but give a small smile here, as she really does care about Harry, even when they're fighting.] And then I had to go be best friends with a boy who's on the most wanted list of the most feared Dark Wizard the wizarding world's ever seen. You can't really have a quiet lifestyle when you're fighting off people who are trying to do in your best friend every year.
[action]
Mmm, no, you really can't. It must be hard, though, even with your successes. It does seem that most of the people who are brought here have faced and often overcome difficult circumstances, or are in the middle of doing so.
[action]
[She nods thoughtfully here, though.] I guess you could say Harry and I were both. We've done a lot at home and were in the middle of finishing it. Getting brought here was a loop we weren't really expecting.
[She kind of eyes Raine again, as though debating how much she can trust the other woman with.]
[action]
Being brought here is a loop that would throw anyone, I expect. [She smiles faintly at that, though it fades again.] Not truly knowing an outcome one way or the other can be a frightening position to be in.
[action]
It seems to lie dormant for years, only really surfacing when we've great need of it, like when we're truly afraid of something and need help. That's why it was such a surprise when I got my letter.
Harry's a little farther along than I am, but now I can't even ask him questions. [She pauses again. Something in Raine's reaction seems to be a little off to her, but maybe it's because she's staring at herself and she's upset.] Are you all right?
