[It's a couple of minutes before she actually says anything, but there are a few doodles on the page. When she does speak, she's very subdued.]
I guess this is the next experiment. It seems to be... a strange one anyway. I wonder who has my body?
...This is Hermione, for those who don't recognise my voice or my face. I don't look like I normally do.
[So the basic turn of events for Hermione: She wakes up rather groggy, eyes not quite as red or scratchy as she thought they'd be. Hello, something's off. She doesn't really notice her body change just yet as she makes her way out of the random room she was in. And a little later notices the body of her best friend... whom she had just fought with not a few days ago and who has been resolutely refusing to speak with her. Can't deal with seeing him yet. Hermione flees the house.
Currently, she (in the body of Raine Sage) is sitting by the lake, with her knees curled up to her chin. Those who know her, even if they've only spoken to her for a minute or less, can EASILY tell that something is very, VERY wrong here. Feel free to talk to her.]

[action]
[She demonstrates and has to bite back the feeling of disappointment when nothing happens for her.]
[action]
Wingardium Leviosa. [With the proper wand movement accompanying it, of course, and likely sounding very much like Hermione herself in the process. There is, at least, a soft tone of wonder in her voice at the result, as the object slowly lifts; it's not as if that happens every day.] Goodness, this is fascinating.
[action]
That's really good! If you move your wand around, you can direct the towel to move in the air, but you have to keep concentrating on it. No spell will work with my magic if you don't concentrate enough. That's the key.
[action]
[action]
Let's try the Disarming Charm, the Patronus Charm, and then the Shield Charm. Those should help you against most things and then maybe some of the jinxes just so you have things to cast if something should happen. [She's kinda worried about the Patronus Charm as she's always had problems with it and doesn't really want to admit that there's a spell she can't cast perfectly every time. Of course, since it's a great deal mental as well as magical, Raine should have no problem if she can get a memory strong and happy enough.]
The Disarming Charm: ex-pel-ee-AR-mus! If it works, my spoon should fly out of my hand. If not, then it'll just jerk a little.
[action]
Expelliarmus!
[action]
All right, let's try the Patronus Charm. [Time for the one she's nervous about. At least it's the least likely to do any real harm if it backfires.] The incantation is Ex-PEK-toh Pa-TROH-num. If it works, it will conjure a silver guardian in the form of the animal you most resemble. However... this one requires more than just the incantation and wand movement. You have to pick a memory, a very strong and happy memory, and focus on that memory as you cast the spell. Otherwise it won't work.
[action]
[That one does sound a little more complicated, though. She has plenty of strong memories, but happy? After a few moments of consideration, she decides on one and attempts the cast.] Expecto Patronum!
[Not strong enough. There is a small wisp of silver, but it doesn't form much of anything, or last very long.] ... Hm. Do you think the form would be different for me, or is there one that we're looking for?
[action]
[There, she's admitted it.]
I just know that your memory has to be very happy. The Patronus itself is made of happiness and light, so it needs you to focus on giving it that.
[action]
[The result seems a little stronger, but still nothing that can be defined.] The power of emotions over spells... I wonder how it is, that the incantations were developed, and the thoughts to how to form them given. It seems I'll have to give this one another try.
[action]
[At the question, she just shakes her head and names off a few possibilities, but as she has no firm proof and history has a habit of covering things up, she doesn't really know for sure.]
[action]
Those are all interesting possibilities, however. It's a shame that there's no real way in proving them.
[She thinks she's found something. It doesn't feel like purely a happy memory, but it is a strong one, so perhaps it will have to do.] Expecto Patronum!
[Finally, something more corporeal appears, though it takes a little while before settling on a form]
[action]
That's really nice. I'm glad you managed it, though it's different from mine, so I guess the spell really is tied to the mind more than the magical essence.
[action]
[She's watching the formless mist dissipate though, though, and closes her eyes, takes a steady breath, and tries again.]
Expecto Patronum!
[There we go. The form seems to be that of a cat, small, nimble, and cautious, yet with that air of curiosity. It lands neatly on it's feet on the table in front of them, before pacing the length back and forth.]
[action]
[action]
With determination, I'm certain you will be able to overcome your difficulties with it. It's simply on a different level of processing.
[action]
So, now that you've got the Patronus, do you want to have another go at it or move on to the Shield Charm? This one should be a little easier. It's all technique.
[action]
[action]
This is the Shield Charm. Its incantation is pro-TAY-go and if successful, it will cause a magical barrier to appear in front of you. It can deflect most minor or mid-level curses, jinxes, and hexes.
[action]
[And yet another flawless spell. Technical ones are so much better.]
[action]
Those are the basic, or well not basic, but more commonly-used defensive spells. I can teach you a couple of offensive ones, as well, but we might need to move outside to catch a bug or else we won't know if it's worked or not.
[action]
[action]
All right. First is the Impediment Jinx.
Im-ped-ih-MEN-tah!
If successful, it will force your opponent to temporarily slow down or stop whatever they are doing. It's best used when you need to flee.
[action]
Impedimenta!
[Practical spells really are so much better.]
[action]
Oh and if you ever want to reverse your spell effects, most of them can be undone by Finite Incantatem.
[She thinks for a moment before offering up another spell.]
The Stunning Spell ought to be next. STOO-puh-fye! It will Stun the target and render them unconscious.

[action] /totally going to have to look this up as she does not know Raine's canon XD
[action] /it's so hard to explain without video game mechanics
[action] that's okay. I'll just go look it up in a bit so you can gloss over if need be XD
[action] /attempts to rationalize this properly
