25th Gryffindor Note [Action/Voice]

[ Hermione's been thinking about the DA and what Xion talked to her about a few days ago. As far as she's concerned, it's high time the DA's started to get actively involved in Luceti. It's high time they became protectors and not just a secret society. So, for all you DA members (check the OOC post), she's looking out for you all to talk to you.

After a few minutes, as she hangs out on the porch of House 26, she opens up her journal for a voice post. ]

If you all had the chance to protect someone or a group of people, would you do it?

[A few minutes later, she adjusts the question:]

Rather, if you had the chance to protect someone using magic that wasn't your own, something you would have to work on often with another group of like-minded people, would you do it?

[She can be found either on the porch or in the Welcome Center for actiony things.]

It'll be difficult, but it's possible. [Their lives are perpetual FML. All of them.]

Then I suppose we each carry on and that's the way it'll be. [There's finality behind her words. What else can she say, after all?]

...we'll see when the time comes. [And that's his own finality. He seems to sense it won't change beyond that, and that he really ought to stop while he can.]

...Thanks, I suppose.

[She nods, though she gives him a strange sort of look at the gratitude.]

For what? [She's not really sure how to take it, honestly, unless it's for what she thinks it might be and then, well... She'll just take it as it comes.]

[For keeping him on track? For reminding him that the war's bigger than just themselves? That all of their lives are fucked but at least he has some support here? Probably all of the above, but he just waves a hand vaguely.]

Nothing important.

[....He is so lucky she's gotten used to him and respects the "dropped subject" thing these days.]

Right, well, you're welcome.

[She pushes off the bed.]

I suppose I ought to get back home. [There's a raise of her eyebrows as if to ask him if he's all right. She knows where you've been staying, Draco, don't think she doesn't.]

[See, and this is why they can probably consider themselves actual friends now.]

Probably, especially if you've planning to do for the DA still. [He just meets the look with a raise of his own eyebrows. It's a challenge at best. Go on, Granger, stick your nose where it doesn't belong and see what happens.]

[Probably! They've been good for each other!]

A lot of planning, actually. I'll let you know when that's all sorted out. [She won't. This time. He's so ridiculously lucky.]

I know you will. It'd be odd of you not to. [But there's a slight smirk anyway. He knows he's won this round, and he's pleased.] Until then. You don't need me to walk you out, now do you?

[Yeah, yeah, she'll smirk back. He hasn't won the war, though! It's only because Myuria's disappearance is still so fresh and he's not Harry or Ron.] I think I'm capable of that myself, thanks.

[She'll just turn, smirk still in place, and head on out unless he wants her to stay.]

As you were, then. [He wouldn't say no to her company, of course, but he's still not entirely sure how to go about asking her just to hang out as friends without having a specific reason. So he'll just...watch her leave. And probably inwardly sigh a bit. Stupid life.]

[One of these days they will get better at this whole friendship and hanging out thing, but that day is not today.]
