[Early morning: Hermione's sitting at the dining room table with her journal and her notebook. There are a couple of ink blots where she's tried to write, but her hand is shaking too much. Eventually, she manages to get out what she needed.]

For those who have been here for a while. I know this is probably a silly question, but I admit I'm curious. After someone returns from the Malnosso, about how long do the effects take to wear off and how bad can those effects be? Call it a study, if you will.

[Action for housemates plus Draco later]
[It's been days since Harry got back from his mallynapping and he's steadily gotten worse. She's watched him flip out about Voldemort one too many times not to know that something is desperately wrong now. His scar's been hurting like it did all fifth year, and nothing anyone has said has done anything to help him. And now, when she just went in to check on him, she's noticed that he's asleep in his bed. But he looks sick. Something is so not right.

And what do you do when all else fails? Call on the DA. So, she's going to knock on each of your doors as soon as she can tell you're all awake. She looks about as worried as Hermione gets.]

"We need to talk. All of us. Something's wrong with Harry."

[And then it's down to the next person. She'll be waiting for you all at the dining room table, which is right under Harry's room so she can tell if something changes with him. Terri the otter will be waiting in the living room for you guys to lead you all to her when you get there, but the Patronus is flickering, like Hermione's having a tough time keeping her there. The witch has her notebook and journal open and she's scanning the pages of each, desperately searching for an answer. Feel free to threadjack into one action thread.]

[Ron would be insulted if he knew that Neville thought he'd be the one with a bloody nose. Considering the way he's glaring at Malfoy practically leering as Hermione walks away, it's a miracle the blond's not bleeding yet.]

Yeah. You muck this up, Malfoy, and Hermione won't be the only one forced to use an Unforgivable before all's said and done.

[Neville had been stepping back to check on Harry's vitals for the time being, but he snaps back to attention after Ron pipes up, gripping Harry's wrist a little more tightly than it really needed to be gripped.] Nobody's using any Unforgivables. There's no reason for them.

[She's not far enough to miss what you said there, Ron, and she wheels around with this absolutely astounded and really rather insulted look on her face.]

Ron! No one's going to muck anything up! Come on already!

[Just follow her before something blows up around here. The animosity is killing her.]

[~~wow I totally messed up my last tag, oh well!~~ Draco just sneers though because no, he's not just going to walk away. That's not the Malfoy-way.] I'd like to see you try. You don't have the guts to do it.

[Ron almost - almost - feels sorry for his words, given Hermione and Neville's reactions. But dammit, Malfoy, you just won't leave things alone, will you?]

If I don't, it's got nothing to do with not having the guts. It's to do with not being a Slytherin.

[And with that, he gives Malfoy one last glare as though to dare him to say something else before storming towards Hermione, reacing out for her as he moves to head out.]

[Neville releases Harry's arm and returns to hover in the doorway, cooly watching them both.] It has to do with Harry recovering. He's not going to do it under these circumstances.

[She can still hear everything, you guys... And she wheels around to stare at Malfoy and then Ron.]

Stop it! Both of you!

[If you're going to follow her, Ron, then stop baiting Malfoy. And Malfoy? Stop being a derpy prick. That's kind of what her expression is saying right now.]

[The air is charged with the negative energy from everyone fighting, and Harry is alone over in his bed, dealing with the aftermath of Draco's appearance inside his mind. He loves his friends and were he awake, he'd jump into the fray and try to mediate. For now, he can only vaguely sense that there's anger around him that isn't Voldemort's, and he groans and tosses in his sleep. So much for, "Hey guys, stop making each other angry."]

[Draco starts slightly at the sudden groan, turning back and looking at Harry. He got that message, really. He's still jumpy from his run-in with Voldemort...he's not even sure how to imagine what Harry's doing in his own head. He merely sneers though and steps back.] I don't need this. Let me know when you actually feel like being useful. Granger, keep me updated on your progress.

Useful? Why you-....

[But bloody hell, Malfoy's right. Not that he'd ever actually admit that, so he'll settle for realizing that Hermione and Neville are right instead. With a scowl etched into his face, Ron turns away from Malfoy and, forgetting about reaching out for Hermione or anything of the sort, storms right on out.]

[Ron takes a lot of the tension out of the room with him, as Neville's distaste for Malfoy is a lot less vocal than Ron's. He gives a pleading look to Hermione, a gentle "please be careful," before sinking back to see if Harry's groaning was caused by anything external he might've rolled over.]

Stop it! [She's practically shrieking as she tries to grab Ron's arm - though she catches Neville's look first - and hurries out.] I'll let you know if you don't go about being stupid.

[And gone!]
