11th Gryffindor Note - [text/Action]

...Well that was certainly interesting. I hope everyone made it out of the snow and back to their residences safely. I was caught at home, so I'm fine. If any of my housemates are coming home frozen, I'll have my bluebell flames in their jar in the middle of the common room.

I'd also like to hear from everyone I haven't spoken to yet since the blizzard ended. How are you all doing?

[Hermione is going to send a Messenger Patronus to her housemates, no matter where they are. It says, "Are you all right? Please see me. I need to teach you this." Except to Harry. His says, "I need to teach you this and for you to teach me something," but it comes back to her, whining...

[She'll be waiting on the bottom floor.]

*... why is this tingling my memory. Give me a minute, it'll come to me.*

You might be cute if you'd relax, you know.

[video] - brb what

[She's obviously taken aback by that and blinks. She has nooo idea how to react to that.]

Excuse me?
psychebubble: (No you're a faggot.)

You're that super-serious kind of kid who studies all their life, and treats a 95 on a paper as the end of the world, right?

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-05 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Well yes, of course. A 95 means I haven't done my absolute best and that's no good at all.
psychebubble: (i said what what in the butt.)

Have you ever been on a date in your life?

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-05 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I have! And it was quite nice.

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-05 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been on more than one. They were just with one person. I happened to be thinking of the Yule Ball first.
psychebubble: (i said what what in the butt.)

*... that sounds familiar too. Goddamnit this will click eventually.*

Oh? Lemme guess, another bookworm type?

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-05 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
No. He's an international Qudditch player.
psychebubble: (dude that is only kosher on fridays)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-02-05 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
*........ oh, there it goes.*

... Quidditch.

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-05 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a sport played on brooms.
psychebubble: (i said what what in the butt.)

Yeah, and it's a terribly designed game. Every position other than the Seeker is completely useless.

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think so. Harry will disagree with you.
psychebubble: (No you're a retard.)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-02-06 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
That's because he is the Seeker. But... well, you're the one who liked logic, right? Imagine, in completely neutral conditions, two teams of equal skill. The game can't end until the Snitch gets snatched, but when it is, whoever's team gets the snitch gets enough points to win, easy.

Then imagine two teams who aren't that close in skill. The Seeker can still make up for fifteen goals. But if the other team can get fifteen goals ahead of the first team, Snitch or no Snitch, the second team wouldn't have a prayer anyway.

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-09 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes but how many times does that actually happen? How many people are actually that good or that bad? And you're forgetting that each player is different from the next. No two players have exactly the same strengths and weaknesses, no matter what position they play. And players have off days, too.

Seekers get fouled all the time by the other team, especially the Beaters. If you don't have good Beaters, the opposing team can do whatever they want. It's a sport for fun and entertainment. [She can't believe she's actually saying this.]

I thought you were the one that didn't like sports.

Anyway, other than that World Cup, name one game where the winning team was not the one that got the Snitch.

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-10 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't. That's not... Harry would know that better than I.

[She hates being one-upped.]
psychebubble: (someone make it stop)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-02-10 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
And, for the proof, weren't you there when the twins were making the bet on the victor? The guy they made the bet with thought it was totally absurd.

*She's just giving Hermione a probably-rather-infuriating smug 'I'm right and I know it' grin.*

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-10 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Because Viktor is one person and the best Seeker on the major teams.

[Her own medicine: it sucks to swallow.]
psychebubble: (Fujiwaraface)

[video] I am enjoying this thread far too much.

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-02-10 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
No matter how good he is, the bet was specifically that 'one team would win, and the other team gets the Snitch', and that was what the guy said was so absurd.

[video] so am I XD

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-10 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
But they were rooting for Viktor.... and how do you know all of this?
psychebubble: (i daresay he licks lint)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-02-10 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
What, am I not allowed to have had tickets to the World Cup too?

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-10 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
How would you have known about the bet the twins made if you haven't talked to them? You weren't there when they made it.
psychebubble: (that fucker is so crazy)

[personal profile] psychebubble 2010-02-10 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
*At this point, she's just trying to see if she can get Hermione to buy it.*

Do you really remember everyone who was around at that moment?
