[She sounds a bit nervous here.] Harry, it didn't work. I've tried everything I can think of, but the map's not coming along yet. But, Harry... Sirius' mirror... did it come with you to Luceti? Do you think it might be possible to charm one here? With your Mum out there, I think it might be a good idea to find a way to contact her or for her to contact us easily. I could make another paper for her, one that's charmed with three others, another for you, me, and Ron, just in case she needs to contact you.

I'm very glad the tutoring sessions seem to be working out for everyone. I hope all of the New Feathers are settling in well. If any of you, New or Old Feathers, need anything at all, information or someone to study with, I'd be happy to do what I can.

[She's out on the porch reading if anyone wants to interrupt]

[She'd agree if she knew what he was thinking.] My 'partner' has named him Sekai. I don't know what it means, but it's just a name and it's only a week.

[She glances at the egg, which is wrapped under a thermal blanket, before looking back at Harry and nodding.] If the charms worked like they ought to, then yes. [You'd be lost, that's what.] I did separate ones for you, me, and your Mum to keep track of each other. I wasn't sure if I ought to do one for Ron, too. He didn't seem to thrilled about the last to-do list I made him. [She's smiling a touch at that. Ron being not thrilled about lists was an understatement.]

[Get to work on the Legilimency, Hermione.] That's a weird name. My partner let me name ours. He's James. [There's a hint of pride there.]

[Looking at some of those things.] I hope this place won't dampen their power all that much. [Awkward pause.] Hug your friends?! Er... [Shakes his head, as this is just silly.] I dunno how good of mates he is with her now. There's always later, right?

[But that's an invasion of privacy! She would never do such a thing D:] I should have expected nothing less. [She grins over at him.]

Sorry, but I had to make it look like a decent list. [She's smirking, though. She definitely had fun making those up.] I can always make another later. I'll just have to go talk to her sometime, unless you'd like to give her it instead.

[But if she could do it she would truly know everything!] What's that supposed to mean? [He's smiling a little bit, but oblivious.]

It's fine. I mean, it's a bit weird, but it looks the part. [He's amused.] And maybe, I suppose I'll have to find time to do some of it. [And he's pondering again.] I'd like to give it to her, now that she's had some time to get used to the fact that I exist.

[True....] I only meant that I know you'd name something after your father. He's very important to you. [And she smiles in something that's very sympathetic as she remembers her own parents... her parents who, right now in Australia, don't even know she exists.]

It was the first thing I thought of. [She's slightly defensive here, but you can hardly blame her. Her eyes follow Harry, though, as she can see the wheels turning in his head.]

I think that's a good idea, Harry. It would probably mean more coming from you.

It's a good, strong name, I wager. One of the best if he's supposed to be my child or something. [Harry offers her a small smile in return. Parental trouble sucks.]

Are you going to start measuring the deficit of hugs in this house? [He's trying to kid with her.]

I think so, too. It'll be easier to explain why I want her to be safe.

I would agree, Harry. [It really does, worse if you're the one who implemented it in the first place.]

Maybe I will! [She's smiling. It's a start!] I could start right here!

She already knows to be wary of Snape, but I think you're right. She'd appreciate it, I'm sure.

Oh really? And how much of a hug deficit are we in?

But does she believe it? I gathered that she wasn't really going to believe all of that, but I couldn't bring myself to tell her what he did.

A big one. [She smirks over at him.] I could start fixing that, though.

I don't know. She seemed rather upset when I told her to be careful around him, though I didn't tell her everything he's done. [She lets out a soft sigh.] Maybe we ought to save that until we know exactly how she feels about him.

Have you already done the maths? [Smirks back.]

She was really upset about it when I mentioned he was bad, and she wouldn't let me tell her much else. [He frowns.] I suppose you're right. I just don't want him to hurt her.

Yes and we're down one. [Which will get fixed right now as she stands and goes to give you a hug wherever you are.]

I know you don't, but I think with both of us having warned her, she'll at least have a better chance of avoiding him.

[He'll hug back, though he's still a little tense about everything that's going on in his head.]

She's talked to Malfoy and Ron, too, so maybe she'll clue in on it eventually.

[She understands. She's just glad he returned it.]

At least the contact papers will help. I'm sure she'll be fine, Harry.

[He's still hurt by some things, but I have no idea how to get them to talk about it in a way that will solve anything.]

I hope so. I don't want to lose her again.

[Maybe later >_>; It might still be too soon. Especially with how her pride flares up at being wrong.]

You won't. We're going to keep her safe this time. [And she reaches out to touch your arm reassuringly.]

[He's calming down from it but there's a part of him that's still sore about the lake incident.]

I can protect her from Riddle. I just dunno about anybody else. [He's grateful for that touch.]

We'll find a way to keep everyone safe, Harry. These make us one step closer. [She's here for you, Harry. You'll always be her best friend, even when you're rowing with her.]
