3rd Gryffindor Note - [voice]

[She sounds tired, interested in what she's doing, but very weary. Every so often, there's the rustle of a page, as though she's reading something. Knowing Hermione, she's in the library.]

These books are fascinating. I almost feel as though I'm back in my first school, studying for a test or something. Sciences, math, literature. Makes me miss the library at Hogwarts, not counting the librarian.

I wonder how everyone's doing...

[She sighs heavily. There's the scraping of a chair and then a thump later on, as though she's just set another book on the table.]

At least I have time to read now. Are there any other bookworms out here?

[Well he has to deal with her by default because they're related but she's still pretty damn creepy. Plus having her breathe down his neck and encourage him to kill? Not exactly the best memory.] They won't. They know better than that.

It's hard to find anything humorous about her.

[Fair enough. She just shrugs.]

[Continues walking then until they get to the weapons shop] Have you bothered looking in the obvious place?

I did the first day I came here. It wasn't there, but I haven't been back. Do they periodically restock?

Usually, yes. [Already heading inside]

[Hello, that sounds promising. She follows.] I didn't know that.

See? There are some things that I know that you don't. [An actual attempt at a joke? From Draco? Major progress. Good job, Hermione.]

[She has to wrestle a bit with her normal 'have-to-be-right-at-everything' mode and the realisation that he IS joking with her.] And I'm sure there's more.

You'd be surprised. I have good looks and brains. I know, it's amazing, not something you see every day. [Still jokes, but they're also slight jabs at the Gryffindor boys. Oh well, it's a start.]

[She's smiling as she rolls her eyes here.] Since you've got the brains, you can show me where my wand should be.

[Shooting her that classic "charming" grin, Draco's going to stride over to a corner of the shop where the smaller weapons are and direct her to a box where there seem to be all kinds of objects] Should be around here.

[Have a confused look... and then a little dismay.] Right here? I don't see it.

...Or Bellatrix's. Maybe one will turn up later. [At least she knows exactly where to look now.]

...what? [Looks for himself and just stares] But one of them should be right there.

...They apparently don't want me to have one.

So they decided to give me one instead? Makes perfect sense.
