[ooc: backdated to just before the earthquake hit because I am slow like that lmfao. She'll be talking to Hisoka when the earthquake hits, but time before that is fair game for voice responses or action posts. If you're in the DA, you've gotten a lovely little messenger Patronus after the earthquake hits saying to go help people not you, Hisoka, since she can totally see you still. BY THE WAY: anyone who wants to can totally hear THIS THREAD WITH HISOKA until the library dying pretty much auto-shuts it off. Go nuts :3]

[So, today is a normal day, just like any other. Hermione's at the library, just like any other day. She's got her nose buried in a book, just like any other day. And she's glaring across a few tables at Hisoka, just like any other day. After awhile, she pulls out her journal to make a post.]

I hope everyone's doing all right. I suppose nothing's out of the ordinary for the day- [Have another glare, Hisoka.] -but I have a question for, well, anyone. How many books have you found from your home, like spellbooks or school textbooks or that sort of thing? Informative books about other worlds seem to turn up every so often and I was wondering if a few of mine might. It's been almost a year and nothing's really come by, but you know you always miss a couple of them anyway.

I suppose I'll be at the library all day - [have another glare 8D Yes, Hisoka, she's challenging you to complain about it] -so if you particularly need me for anything, you know where to find me. I'll be here for tutoring as well.

It's really obnoxious when people spread themselves in a public space as if they live there, isn't it? It's like they forget how rude it is to talk in a library, even.

[She doesn't care about some rubbish rule he made up, nor is she going to lower herself to what he's doing. So she's actually going to address him so she can talk softly and yet he'll hear.]

I did it soft enough that no one would hear it unless they were eavesdropping rudely. And I am not spread all over the library. There's plenty of space here for everyone.

I am a witch and no I can't. No matter how much we'd like, we can't split ourselves- [NOT COUNTING THE HORCRUX THING because seriously NOT TALKING about it. No. Never.] -and the only way to make any sort of reliable copy of ourselves is by Polyjuice Potion, which only makes a physical copy out of someone else.

I'm not the arrogant, selfish- [Okay she's half-way through a retort when yeah... that... what is that...

She's definitely looking around and that's totally her wand she's taking out and-]

Hisoka! Duck! ['Cause if he doesn't?] Reducto! [That's totally a Reductor Curse aimed right where he's standing. Or, more accurately, aimed at the piece of ceiling that's about to break off on his head.]

[OKAY GOOD IT'S NOT JUST HIM. Well not good per se, because this isn't Japan and as far as he knows Luceti's buildings aren't really designed to handle a proper earthquake. while it's nice to have someone shout warnings at him and give him a heads up about when ducking and heading closer would be a good idea, that doesn't do much to settle the bookshelf teetering dangerously behind her. So even while the ceiling's busy exploding above, he's ducking closer to Hermione and raising a shield to take the pressure off her in case it goes. He's never been able to make anything decent under the power cap, but he assumes it'll create a filmy dome that would at least protect her from the individual books, if not the shelf itself. It's kind of surprising when he makes something proper to repel whatever else decides to drop on them from above. ~~It's better not have been from those DA lessons. He'd flip out SO HARD.~~]

[DEFINITELY NOT. And she's agreeing about the not necessarily a good thing part, but at least they aren't alone in this. She's kind of twitchy that he's coming closer, but at this point it's not really registering on her. She's too busy worrying about repelling anything else.]

We have to get out and make sure- [That's about the point where the bookshelf falls flat on their shield. Of course, reflex has her casting a Shield Charm and the combination of the two of them ~~Okay so it's just Hisoka's that's really doing anything to help them~~ have the bookshelf falling to pieces around them but not on them. Which is good. Very good.] We need to make sure everyone else is all right. [She's used to this sort of thing and if Hisoka's paying any sort of attention at all to her mental activities, he's going to get a nice fat shot of Godric's Hollow and then dear Bellatrix's crazed face just before she goes crazy on the Crucio at Malfoy Manor. Hermione is worried. Very, very worried. And actually, this is about when she starts casting all those Patronuses ~~hooray plot connectors!~~.]

It's not your time yet. [He murmurs dismissively to that unexpected thank you, much more concerned about the state of everything else around them. He would be focusing on her if he wasn't straining to sense others who might be less prepared to handle a sudden library cavein.] There's other people here. Can you apparate out on your own?

[She shoots him a "what in the name of Merlin's left ear do you mean by that?" look and then shakes her head at his question.] I'm not leaving- ["you" is the word she really wants to say, but lol it's Hisoka here. So she settles for-] I'm not leaving anyone hurt here. I can Apparate them out, even if they're trapped. I've tried Side-Along Apparition here. It works.
