15th Gryffindor Note - [Written] - [Action for Harry, Ron, and Terra]
I'm going to be out for the day. Hopefully it won't be longer. If you really need me, send word to Neville or Luna. They'll be able to contact me. I hope everyone's doing well today. Obviously, I won't be able to be in class, the library, or the Welcome Center, so I apologise for that. I'll return as quickly as possible.
Hermione
[Action for Harry, Ron, and Terra]
[Well, the day has come and now she's waiting outside House 26 for everyone to convene. She's pretty sure Harry and Ron are at least awake by now, but if they don't show up by the time Terra gets there, she's going back in and waking them up again. Her handbag is ready on her arm, packed with clothes for the trio plus an extra set for Terra just in case they stay for longer than a day. She's got enough food packed for about a week, again just in case, and anything else they might need. Hermione is nothing if not overly prepared.
So, she's standing with her arms crossed over her chest, waiting for the first person to show up.]
((OOC: Hermione and company are taking a trip to the mountains and would prefer not to be interrupted, so she won't be answering replies ICly until the evening, either when they stop for the night or she gets home. If people reply, I'll be intentionally vague til I know for sure which one it'll be. Also, Tai, I will be so so so so amused if Luna decides to paint a mural of a Crumple-Horned Snorkak on the walls while Hermione's gone or something like that. The resulting explosion will be SO worth it XD))

'lo, Hermione.

Morning, Harry. How are you feeling?
no subject
Upon spotting Hermione and Harry ahead, Terra waves as she quickens her approach.]
Good morning! I hope I'm not late....
no subject
Rubbing sleep out of his eyes and having grabbed an apple on his way out, Ron stops when he sees the others, just catching the tail end of Terra's statement.]
Late? I'm not late? The sun's still up, so I couldn't be that late....
no subject
Ron, just because the sun's still up doesn't mean you aren't late. [But she's smiling this time, so it's still okay!]
All right. Now that everyone's here, we should think about how we want to get there. It's a long walk from here to the mountains, so I can Apparate everyone if that's all right. Just hold on tight to me.
Oh, and I packed enough supplies for us in case we get stuck up there.
[Not that she's expecting to, but it never hurts to be prepared!]
no subject
'm fine, Hermione. [He stifles a yawn.] Apparating's fine with me, if the others are alright with it.
no subject
It's like a Teleport spell, isn't it? That's fine.
[She stepped in close, to hold on.]
no subject
He looks to Terra at her question.]
I guess, yeah. Zips you from one place to the other. You just need to hold on tight to the person Apparating you, or else you might end up splinched.
[With that, he turns back to Hermione, moves to take her hand, then hesitates. Furtively glancing at Harry and trying not to blush (because really, Harry notices more of those little things than Ron likes to admit sometimes), grasps her arm just above the elbow instead.]
no subject
I am not going to Splinch anyone this time. Honestly. [One mistake under pressure... Have a little faith! And a glare. He's just lucky she's paying more attention to making sure she has a good enough grip on Terra's arm as well so she misses Ron's movement completely.]
All right. Here we go! [And she turns on the spot, focusing as hard as she can on the entrance to the mountain path she knows of. They land pretty easily. At least it's not like the time after the Ministry... or y'know Apparating under the invisibility cloak all the time... Hermione lets go of Terra and turns to look at everyone to be sure they all made it out okay.]
Everyone all right? [As though she could have Splinched someone! ... er again. That was just because she'd bee freaking out over Yaxley! She's just going to ignore the pain that brings up.]
Right... Terra, you know the best and most secluded places, right? Can you show us?
no subject
Of course. I don't see a lot of people visit the mountains anyway, but once we got a little further, you'll begin to see side-paths. Some of those are dead-ends, but some lead to caves and either way, I think they would be secluded enough....
[It'll be a little different to see them on the ground instead of above, but her sense of direction is decent, and so she steps onto the mountain path, ready to point out the side passages as they come.]
no subject
[Harry feels safer once they're in the mountains, knowing the Apparation back will be easier. Being inside the mountains is certainly different, but he's worried about everyone's safety while being so high up.]
Is there a sort of area you think might be good for practicing magic around here? We'd have to be ready for avalanches and that sort of thing.
no subject
But he doesn't say anything about it, though, since it's probably not a good thing to mention to someone who's Apparating for the first time, and instead is just happy to get there in one piece. And he's debating taking Hermione's hand when everyone else let's go of her, but um. No. Because Harry would look at him funny. And he doesn't really want to hold her hand anyway. Right.
So he contents himself with walking besides her, looking from Terra to Harry as they speak in turns.]
Well, if we climb high enough, I don't reckon we'll have to worry much about avalanches. [Though he can't help muttering under his breath:] This would be a whole lot easier with a couple of decent brooms, though.
no subject
Except broom charms don't seem to work quite the same here as they did at home.]
Or we have magic that can stop it. With enough wind magic, the new DA could do it and we have ours to back them up. Banishing Charms would works, and Vanishing Spells. I think we'd be all right.
Any kind of seclusion and isolation would be perfect. Then I'll pick one and test my charms.
no subject
Hm...one of the paths does lead upward to a wide ledge, in front of a cave. The ground is pretty level in that spot, and I don't think we'd have to worry about avalanches as much, but there are other areas that can work, too. There's a lower area that's also level, but the mountains obscure it pretty well from above. I had a look from a higher point.....
[She glances toward Hermione.]
The latter one isn't that far. The other is a bit further away, but it's probably even better isolated.
[Not wanting to be all talk, she points in the general directions of both sites and glances over as they pass the first side-path. She shakes her head at it, though.]
That won't help us. It's just a dead end without much room to it.

[When they meet in person, there's a good chance Sonny will mispronounce Hermione's name.]

[Well, she's used to Krum, so it can't be any worse.]
