13th Gryffindor Note [action for housemates / voice]

[Hermione's day is just like any normal day, except for one major difference: When she gets back home, she notices there's something she hasn't seen in months wandering around the apartment. Electrical appliances. What on earth are they doing here? So of course she investigates. Housemates are welcome to stumble upon her or they can wait for the messenger Patronus: "I need to speak with you again, regarding the ... er... new additions to the house." Feel free to apprehend her at any point in the house. Harry's Patronus messenger will just be a sigh and "I hope no one does anything stupid with these."

[Later on, though, she'll open up her journal and make a voice post.]

Does every place have electrical appliances now or is it just ours? This will likely require an explanation. If you've never seen this sort of thing before, I'd be willing to explain it, but first: whatever you do, don't stick anything metal into one of the outlets.

[Aaand one thing she hasn't quite figured out is that when you tell someone not to do something and don't add the "why" they're less likely to do what you say.]

What is an 'outlet'?

Pull one of the smaller new appliances away from the wall. Connecting the appliance to the wall should be a thin black cord. Where the cord plugs into the wall there should be a thin rectangular shape. That's an outlet. If you pull the base of the cord hard enough, it'll come apart from the outlet. Just be sure not to put anything in the outlet. It won't feel good.

[she takes a look and, sure enough it's just as Hermione describes. She ponders it for a moment before returning to the journal.] So the cord is connecting these machines to a power source?

[It's been about two weeks since he's bothered talking to Hermione, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been thinking about their last discussion. When he speaks, it's quiet so he's not sure she'll even catch all of it.]
