11th Gryffindor Note - [text/Action]

...Well that was certainly interesting. I hope everyone made it out of the snow and back to their residences safely. I was caught at home, so I'm fine. If any of my housemates are coming home frozen, I'll have my bluebell flames in their jar in the middle of the common room.

I'd also like to hear from everyone I haven't spoken to yet since the blizzard ended. How are you all doing?

[Hermione is going to send a Messenger Patronus to her housemates, no matter where they are. It says, "Are you all right? Please see me. I need to teach you this." Except to Harry. His says, "I need to teach you this and for you to teach me something," but it comes back to her, whining...

[She'll be waiting on the bottom floor.]

[Best to pretend to be slow, sometimes.]

Magic seems so popular, here.

[Not when you're talking to a genius...]

It really is. It's so fascinating to discover how different everyone's type of magic is. I've already written a fifteen page essay for Professor Gelda on the differences between Filial magic and my own. I hope I get to compare those to other types of magic I've heard of here. Perhaps Raine's.

...Filial magic?

[He leaps on the words, sounding just a touch too interested.]

It's the magic that exists as native to luceti. Anyone can learn it. I've already learned healing magic and I'm hoping to try others soon.

[Anyone can learn? Hm!] What others are there?

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-01-23 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Fire, Water, Wind, Electricity, Earth, and Light. They each have a spirit associated with them and once you acquire the magic from the spirit, they take time to master.

Have you mastered any of them, miss?

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Healing's the only one so far, but I'm hoping to learn all of them soon.

They can be, depending on which one you're attempting to learn. Fire is one of the most difficult to acquire and takes a long time to master. Healing is the easiest.

That's good to know. Thanks, miss--? [He stammers.] Sorry, what did you say your name was?

Granger. Hermione Granger. You're quite welcome. I don't think I caught your name, either.

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-01-30 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Merlin. Just...Merlin. Not quite important enough to have a second name.

[Blink... And now she's looking at him incredulously.]

But you can't possibly-

[Well, it IS luceti...]

...Well it's nice to meet you, Merlin.

No, don't worry about. I've become alarmingly used to people thinking that I am impossible.

[So awkward... She's totally now resisting asking you questions]

I'm certain that gets tiresome after a while.

Well--[he hesitates because, after all, this was a public interaction]--I'm pretty sure it's a case of mistaken identity.

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-05 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
And how is that? [She's verrryyy curious.]

[identity profile] awaitingalbion.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
I--[he falters, looking for some excuse]--Me? I don't have a beard. Beardless.

[identity profile] loyalotter.livejournal.com 2010-02-06 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Because all that matters is your beard.

They obviously aren't paying attention to what matters.

What a person's really like, not their looks, no matter how famous they are.

Ah, well. I'm not famous either. Must be a case of mistaken identity.
