9th Gryffindor Note [Written on the DA papers / Locked to the DA - ABSOLUTELY UNHACKABLE]

[Hermione's making use of the DA papers. However, the unfortunate thing is that the messages don't actually show up for an hour and a half after this thread. So, it will likely be over with by the time the DA hears. However, feel free to respond in kind. Hermione just... won't answer til the thread's really done.]

Then I'll just blame it on ruddy Gryffindor nature and bemoan the fact that I'm being dragged through it.

Right, because you aren't at all happy about it. [Still smirking. Teasing, definitely.]

No, you're right, I'm completely unhappy. In fact I'm on my way to complain to somebody about it. [When did we reach the point where we can just tease each other and be okay with it, Hermione.]

Running around after curfew's never stopped any of us before, now has it? [Yeah okay, he doesn't get much further in that either before there's a slight laugh. Seriously this is so bizarre but it's also entirely okay. At least she's hopefully feeling a bit better.]

I'm starting to wonder which parts are forced and which parts are our own doing, you know what I mean?

...[Crap.] Several reasons. Mostly to do with something for Hagrid or to help someone. You know how it is with us.

[It is bizarre, but it's nice. And one of our hands is clasped around the handbag. We're... relaxed with you.] Yeah. I'm not certain I could decide which was which. Luceti forced us here, but we may as well have chosen our own paths from there. And it's really nice.

...[He's been around her enough to figure out there's probably more to the story than that, but he'll let it slide] Gryffindor nonsense, I know.

[Oh no doubt it's nice. Helps with conjuring Padfoot and all. Though we're not sure what to make of you being relaxed around us, just know that we've definitely let our guard down enough to act like a decent human.] I'm almost not sure I want to decide. I like to think I've made my own choices, but who knows with this place? And that being said, I'd like to figure out why those choices were made. Not that it's not nice or anything like that, it's good to know-["that you trust me enough and I'm not a lost cause"] that we can actually function like normal people instead of relying on childhood rivalry.

[We're very happy you can seem like a normal person.] I suppose we'd have to talk it out a little more someday if that's the case. [And we wouldn't really mind that, oddly enough.] This place does like to do different things to us, doesn't it? Almost as though it would rather not give us situations too similar to our home to that we have to make these decisions.

[He's got a whole list of things to ask about, really >>;] I think I'm glad to not be one.

[We're happy to be normal.] I'd say that's definitely a discussion we could do with. [He shrugs a little and keeps walking] It makes me wonder if somehow this is...oh, hell if I know, a simulation of some sort. "Learn how to deal with unknown forms of Dark Magic" or something stupid like that. It wouldn't surprise me if everyone's reasoning for being here is different. But then again, my theories could be off.

I think this requires more research. It's too bad the library here isn't as useful as the one in Hogwarts. We might actually find an answer if it were.

Hermione, have you ever thought maybe the answer isn't in a library?
